International Aloe Science Council (IASC) Seal of Approval
here is no standardisation of aloe vera products. However, there is a regulatory body based in the USA called the International Aloe Science Council, which provides analysis of aloe vera products. The body was set up in 1981 to regulate the quality of aloe vera used in products. Only products that meet the standards set out by this body are given a seal of approval which can then be displayed by the company and on their products. Only products with aloe ingredients that meet their certified quality standards and include at least 15% aloe vera in their content are able to receive this seal. In 1986, FLP became the first company to be allowed to display this seal on their products for the high quality of their patented aloe vera gel. It is recommended that all aloe vera products are purchased from companies that display this symbol on their products, or at least from companies that have obtained it.
